How To Cartoonize Yourself Using Photoscape Free Photo Editing Software

This is a tutorial how to cartoonize photos using Photoscape

If you want to cartoonize yourself using photo editing software, you can do it manually by adjusting the colors, the threshold, and different filters. You can do this in Photoscape as well. However, Photoscape has an easy way to cartoonize photographs. It has a preset filter that will change photos into cartoon images instantly.

Cartoonizing yourself with Photoscape's preset filter is very easy. Once you have selected the photo you want to cartoonize, there's usually a three button process to complete the process using the preset option.

Sometimes the preset cartoonizer may not give the final results you want, so you may need to make some adjustments before using preset cartoon filter. This is because not all photographs are perfect. For example some photos might have too much light in the background. Some pictures might have been taken in very little lighting, etc.

I have several examples to show you how to cartoonize your pictures. A big thank you goes to PublicDomainPictures.net for the use of the free public domain photographs I am using in this tutorial.

To Cartoonize A Photo That Has Dim Lighting:

Open Photoscape and Click "Editor". Select the photo you want to cartoonize from the photo list. Your photo will appear inside the canvas area. This photograph is a little dim, so I want to deepen the colors in the photo before I cartoonize it.

On the "Home" tab Click the "Bright, Color" button.  Click "Deepen". Click "Middle (Gray Tone)". This change will be applied to your photograph. Note: If you chose the wrong thing you can click the "Undo" or the "Redo" button. You can click the "Undo All" button to start over again.

On the "Home" tab. Click the "Filter" button. Click "Picturialization". Click "Cartoon".
